1.        GOD

    a. God is Loving
    1 John 4:16b God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
   b. God is Holy (absolutely pure).
    1 Peter 1:16 For he himself has said, "You must be holy because I am holy."
   c. God is Just (a good judge).
    2 Thess. 1:6 and in his justice he will punish those who persecute you.

2.        US

    a. We were created good, but became sinful.
    Romans 3:23 For all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
   b. We deserve death (physical & spiritual).
    Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death
   c. We are spiritually helpless (“morally bankrupt”).
    Isa. 64:6 We are all infected and impure with sin. When we proudly display our
   righteous deeds, we find they are but filthy rags.

3.        CHRIST

    a. Christ is God, who also became man.
    John 1:1,14 In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he was God.
   So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing
   love and faithfulness.
   b. Christ died as our substitute
    1 Peter 2:24 He personally carried away our sins in his own body on the cross so we can
   be dead to sin and live for what is right. You have been healed by his wounds!
   c. Christ offers His forgiveness as a gift
    Eph 2:8,9 God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can’t take credit
   for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done,
   so none of us can boast about it.


4.        You

   a. You and I must respond
    John 1:12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become
   children of God.
   b. We must ASK Christ to be our forgiver and leader
    1 John 1:9, 1 Peter 3:15 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us
   and to cleanse us from every wrong. Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life.
   c. The result is a spiritual transformation by the Holy Spirit.
    2 Cor. 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed
   away; behold, all things are become new.
