| Our Faith Journey... God put Brian Saylor and David Laird together at a week long leaders conference at Bigstuf Camp 2005 led by Reggie Joiner. It was then God planted the seeds of a God sized dream along with some strategic vision to create ministry environments where everyone could experience the life change of Jesus Christ and develop real and authentic relationships. On August 6th, 2006 God turned this vision into a reality! New Journey Fellowship was birthed with a praise and worship gathering and 10 people being baptized at the beach! That week God provided the Pinellas City Park and Band Shell at no cost for the next weekend services. Worship and Praise in the park, August 12th &13th, 2006. It was hot! Many gathered for these times of praise and worship. We truly felt and experienced God’s presence. The following week, the city of Pinellas Park allowed us to meet in an old church building they owned, our first services in a building, on August 19th& 20th, 2006. We had guests, people sign up to follow Christ and others wanted to join as members. God was doing something very special! We had a blast at our Grand Opening in January 2007! With 100’s of hotdogs, hamburgers and people, we praised the Lord for all He had done over the past months. We met at this auditorium, 4951 78th Ave, until June of 2007 when God opened up a vacant church property at 4090 78th Ave. just less than a mile down the street. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary with a baptism at a neighborhood pool August 12, 2007! We praise the Lord for our current team and church family as we continue… Together, leading others into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, developing authentic relationships with each other while reaching out into our community. God faithfully continues to renew us, provide for us and grow His work at New Journey! As it fast approaches we are looking forward to celebrating our 2nd year anniversary!
